THE RULEBOOK

Short, hard, and the same in every city. Read it once — the bell won't explain itself on race day.

The Loop

  • · Each loop is 6.706 km and starts precisely on the hour.
  • · You must complete the loop within 60 minutes and be in the starting corral when the next loop begins.
  • · Late to the corral, or fail to start — DNF. There is no exception clause.
  • · Whistles at 3, 2, and 1 minutes to the hour. Then the bell.

On Course

  • · Stay on the marked course. Shortcuts = disqualification.
  • · No pacing. No trekking poles or artificial aids.
  • · No outside assistance during a loop — crew, friends, family stay off the course.
  • · This is a cupless event. Carry your own hydration. Littering = immediate DNF.

Between Loops

  • · Crew support only in the designated start/finish zone.
  • · Your time between loops is yours: eat, rest, repair. The bell doesn't wait.

From Sunset — Mandatory Gear, Checked

  • · Headlamp
  • · Reflective vest or tape, minimum 20 sq in
  • · Hydration system, minimum 200 ml

Conduct

  • · No smoking or alcohol at the venue during the race.
  • · Entries are non-transferable.
  • · The Race Director's decision is final.

What You Take Home

  • · Timed categories (BY4/BY8/BY15): finisher medal.
  • · Last One Standing: one finisher trophy per race. Everyone else — the DNF memento, with your loop count. Wear it loud.

The Race Director's decision is final. The bell's is faster.
